Medical Assessment of the Chest
This program will cover the techniques used to assess the chest for injury and disease. Using auscultation, visualization, palpitation, and percussion, the student will be able to diagnose respiratory and chest injury conditions.
Target Audience
EMTs and Paramedics who are working under Dr. Eby's Medical License.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this class the student will be able to and understand:
The use of external landmarks as they relate to internal tissues
Listen to various lung sounds, identify, and discuss possible causes
Use the process of Inspection, Palpation, Percussion, and Auscultation to assess the thorax.
