Forensic Nursing Webinar

This lecture introduces EMS providers to the principles of forensic nursing, and the critical role prehospital clinicians play in recognizing, preserving, and documenting potential forensic evidence. Participants will learn how to approach scenes involving assault, abuse, sexual violence, and suspicious injuries with a dual focus on patient care and evidence integrity. The session highlights practical techniques for minimizing evidence contamination, effective communication with law enforcement and forensic nurses, and trauma informed care strategies that support vulnerable patients while maintaining investigative continuity.
