OB, GYN, Neonatal Resuscitation for WDCFD
This class will cover the 3 stages of labor, describe the main causes of predelivery vaginal bleeding, how to deal with complicated deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation.
Target Audience
This course is designed for those providers currently working under the medical license of Dr. James Kempema.
Learning Objectives
•By the end of this class the student will be able to:
•1. Describe the three stages of labor
•2. Describe the main causes of pre-delivery vaginal bleeding
•3. Describe how to assist with a normal, breech, cord presentation, shoulder dystonia and limb presentation delivery
•4. Describe and demonstrate the steps of neonatal resuscitation
•5. Describe the indications and contraindications of Magnesium Sulfate
•6. Describe the pathological effects of magnesium sulfate and why it used in eclamptic seizures
