Pacemakers, ICDs and Cardiac resynchronization Therapy Webinar
This lecture provides an overview of how pacemakers and ICDs work, common device types, and indications for implantation. Participants will learn to recognize normal versus abnormal device function, identify malfunctions in the field, and apply appropriate EMS assessment and treatment strategies. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, device‑related complications, and effective communication with receiving facilities and device clinics.
Learning Objectives
Recognize normal and abnormal device function through ECG interpretation and telemetry monitoring.
Identify signs and symptoms of device malfunction or complications
Understand basic device programming parameters and their clinical implications.
